The TMC Vecton Titan has been created using a specialised photocatalytic material. The photocatalytic reaction helps provide a safer alternative to ozone for extremely clean water. The new Titan UV technology allows the new Titan units to be 1.3 times more effective than the standard UV units, allowing a more energy efficient operation. The new photocatalytic lining also protects and improves the lifespan of the plastic body due to is excellent UV resistance.
The Titan UV has been designed with opposing inlet and outlet as the rest of the award winning vecton range, with 4 stage hosetails to allow the use of flexible hose from ½” to 1 ¼” for a super simple installation. These are held in place with screw on collars which allows easy removal when servicing and maintaining is required to ensure the unit operates optimally. The unit also incorporates a UV shield to prevent any direct viewing of the UV lamp. All of this combined with a 3-year guarantee.
The UV sterilisation process that takes place in the Vecton will only target floating microorganisms that are suspended in the water column, this means that the unit will not negatively effect the good bacteria that ensures a stable nitrogen cycle to process ammonia and ensure a healthy system. As such its focus is intended to be used for bad bacteria which could cause disease in the system and floating algae which would cause problems with light penetration.
