The AQUAEL Hypermax 4500 BT is a large-capacity external canister filter designed to deliver high-performance filtration for aquariums from 200 to 1500 litres. With electronic control and Bluetooth connectivity via the Aquael BT app, it offers advanced management of flow settings and filter functions, making it suitable for both experienced and newer aquarists.

With a substantial 31-litre filter volume and a media capacity of 15.9 litres, the Hypermax 4500 BT is built to handle heavily stocked and large aquariums. The electronically controlled, energy-efficient pump delivers up to 4500 l/h (2600 l/h with filter media) and can be adjusted to suit the needs of your setup. Two inlet and two outlet hoses promote effective water circulation and help reduce dead spots within the aquarium.

Using the Aquael BT app, you can programme and monitor filter performance remotely. Flow modes include constant, pulsed, sinusoidal and intermittent settings, along with a dedicated feeding mode. Wave modes simulate natural environmental conditions, while day and night mode adjusts operation based on lighting conditions. An integrated PIN lock and fault monitoring system provide additional operational security, and an interactive performance graph allows you to track efficiency over time.

A 1.5-litre prefilter built into the lid captures larger debris before it reaches the main media baskets, reducing maintenance frequency. The prefilter can be accessed and cleaned without removing the entire unit from the cabinet. A patented double ball valve system closes both the inlet and outlet at the lid and hose level, helping to prevent water leakage during maintenance. The self-priming system requires just a few movements of the plunger to fill the filter with water and prepare it for operation.

The unit is supplied complete with installation accessories, including hoses, pipes, outlet nozzles, suction cups and filter media. Two empty filter baskets allow for customisation with your preferred filtration materials.
